Apartheid
Apartheid was a discriminate law created by the white settlement in South Africa in the 1940's. The word Apartheid comes from the Afrikaans, meaning "apartness". In 1910, the British gave independence to South Africa, but only to the white people. This law that was created was given restrictions and limitations. This killed the idea of black Africans dream of owning land. 80% of the land in South Africa are owned by the whites, while only 10% was the population of white people living there.

Computer Systems
We first started with splitting into a group of 3, we had to assemble the components and make it into a working computer. First we took out the case which holds all the components together, channels air for cooling and keeps out dirt. Then we saw that there was this huge plank sitting in the middle of the case, we asked the teacher and he told us that it was the motherboard. The motherboard connects the CPU to the other components, it also holds every little pieces together. There was a huge thing which is the Hard Disk Drive also known as the HDD. The HDD is a slow and cheap persistent storage for all storage and data. Then we went deeper and found the RAM. The RAM provides fast, expensive volatile storage for software and data currently in use. The CPU executes all instructions and handles all the data: it is the computer.

Representation In Media
I have learnt a lot on the lesson today that we need the media to make sense of reality, without the media, our perception of reality would be very limited. By giving audiences information, media texts extend experience of reality. Every time you see a wildlife documentary, or read about political events in a country on the other side of the world, or watch a movie about a historical event, you extend your experience of life on this planet. Movie producers telescope events and personalities to fit into their parameters, gender is perhaps the basic category we use for sorting human beings, and it is a key issue when discussing representation. It is undeniable that the media shapes our conceptions of what it means to be male or female, feminism has been a recognized social philosophy for more than forty years. Male characters are often represented as isolated, as not needing to rely on others (the lone hero), increasingly, men are finding it as difficult to live up to their media representations as women are to theirs.

5 Google Tips For Searching
I always get stuck on searching, so I am going to give you 5 really good tips in searching.
1. Keep the words simple, and don't type a sentence in.
2. You should avoid using symbols. e.g @#$%^&*()=+[]\.
3. You could use the advanced search if you get stuck.
4. Use as little words as you can.
5. If you want to search a word that has two meanings, use a (-) and write the meaning you don't want. e.g mullet- Hair style.
